Gardening Crew
We are seeking 2-4 individuals to join our gardening crew that enjoy working outside and being physically active. The ideal candidates are motivated, have a positive attitude and can work well with others.
Previous gardening experience is a plus but not necessary. Starting pay ranges from $15-$23 per hour depending on experience and work ethic. Flexible schedules for full or part time shifts. Work days are generally M-F, 8am-5pm and job locations within the Saratoga area may vary daily.
Job tasks include (but not limited to):
Gardening tasks such as weeding, edging, mulching, pruning, raking, watering, etc.
Planting perennials, annuals, shrubs and trees.
Using small landscaping equipment such as a leaf blower.
Keeping track of gardening tools provided.
Clearing all work areas when a job is completed.
*This is a physically active job that involves digging, moving bulk materials with wheelbarrows, lifting plants/planters up to 50lbs, etc.
Requirements:
Able to follow directions, willing to learn new skills, and act professionally on the job sites.
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work (carpooling may be an option)
Must enjoy working outdoors and being physically active
Watering Loop
We are looking for 1-2 individuals to take care of our planters located in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. This is a flexible, weather dependent, part-time position. Ideal candidates are detailed oriented and able to work independently.
Previous plant care experience is a plus but not necessary. Starting pay is $15-$18 per hour depending on experience and work ethic. Shifts will vary according to weather but generally takes about 4-5hrs, every other day, to check all plant locations. There is opportunity for more gardening work if more hours are wanted.
Job tasks include (but not limited to):
Watering outdoor annual planters every other day (if there is no rain) and indoor plants once a week.
Walking from each downtown location with a compact hose and watering can.
Deadheading flowers and removing dead plant material and debris in planters.
Look for signs of unhealthy plants or pest damage.
Being respectful and considerate of clients’ establishments.
Keeping track of gardening tools provided.
Cleaning all work areas when job is completed.
Requirements:

Must be able to lift at least 40lbs.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work or live within walking distance from down town Saratoga Springs, NY.
Must enjoy working outdoors and being physically active
